Barcelona’s return to the renovated Camp Nou has been pushed back once more and won’t happen now for another few months.

Barcelona confirm Camp Nou return has been delayed yet again

The Catalans had initially been hoping to return at the end of 2024 but it now looks like being some time in May.

Here’s an update from the club:

“FC Barcelona announce the extension of the season Pass for the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys 2024/25 until 23 April 2025, the date of Barça v Mallorca in Week 33 of La Liga. The extension includes all league, UEFA Champions League and Copa de Rey matches for the men’s team up until that date.”

The next home fixture after that is against none other than Real Madrid on May 10 but there’s no guarantee Barca will be back by then as the project has been hit by delays.

Barca vice-president Elena Fort spoke about returning home in January and admitted at the time “there is no exact date, but it will be this season.”

The team’s final home game of the season is against Villarreal on May 18.
